Flux

Flux reflects and challenges individual perception of time, especially during social isolation. Interlocking morphing gestures create seamless boundaries between foreground and background. Independent musical lines join in moments of chaotic flux, sometimes crystallizing into togetherness but often fragmenting. Collaborating with choreographer Emma Lanier confirmed how each person perceives the music's embodiment of time's capriciousness differently. The work gives freedom of choice regarding which musical aspect inspires motion.
