Details
An opening supplication in tenor with chant-like character presents an appeal to God through a choir. The second section initiates a procession, beginning an eternal solemn ritual imploring forgiveness of sins. While redemption seems uncertain, mercy and love offer hope for absolution from both God and those wronged.\n\nThe work sets Latin text from Psalm 51, exploring themes of penitence and divine mercy.
